FAQS
What is UV DTF ink used for?
UV DTF ink is designed for printing vibrant, durable transfers onto hard surfaces like glass, wood, metal, and plastic using a UV DTF printer.
Can UV DTF ink be used on fabric?
No. UV DTF ink is not suitable for fabric. It’s optimized for rigid, non-porous surfaces and does not flex or wash well on textiles.
Is UV DTF ink waterproof and scratch-resistant?
Yes. Once cured under UV light, UV DTF ink forms a strong, waterproof, and scratch-resistant layer ideal for long-lasting designs.
What’s the difference between UV DTF ink and UV ink?
UV DTF ink is specifically formulated for the UV DTF transfer process with peelable adhesive films, whereas regular UV ink is printed directly onto rigid materials.
Does UV DTF ink need lamination or heat?
No heat or lamination is required. The ink is instantly cured by UV light, and the transfer is applied using pressure only.
What printers are compatible with UV DTF ink?
UV DTF ink works with modified UV printers equipped with CMYK+W+V channels and suitable for cold curing with UV-LED systems.
How long do UV DTF prints last?
UV DTF transfers can last for years with proper application, especially on indoor or mildly exposed outdoor surfaces.
How do I store UV DTF ink properly?
Keep the ink sealed in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Recommended storage temperature is 15–25°C (59–77°F).
